	It is a sunny day and although the distance I have measured is short my PREXISO always displays 255. What does that mean? Can I measure through glass using the PREXISO? Could the laser beam damage my eyes or my health? When I try to use the PREXISO to measure the distance to some shiny metal cladding the display shows 256. What does that mean? Can the PREXISO operate using rechargeable batteries? Can I use the PREXISO to measure my arched doorways? I cannot see the red laser dot, but the instrument still shows a distance in the display – what does that mean? I would like to use the PREXISO to hang several pictures at the same height. What is the best way of doing this?   When I try to use the PREXISO to measure the distance to some shiny metal cladding the display shows 256. What does that mean? The shiny metal reflects the laser beam too strongly, which prevents the PREXISO from obtaining a reliable reading. The best way around this is to stick a sheet of paper on to the shiny area and repeat the measurements.
